“Save on tickets”
Reviewed August 24, 2006

We wanted to take the kids to Kings Island for 1 day and possibly a 2nd day to use the waterpark. If you check online, you can get some pretty good savings by purchasing an online pass. You can also get a deal by purchasing the 2-day pass if you plan on 2 days. We were not sure that we'd do a 2nd day there or go to the Beach waterpark, so we opted for the 1 day pass.

At the end of the day we decided that we would come back to Kings Island for the waterpark and then ride a few more rides. We went to the ticket window on the way out and upgraded our tickes to the 2-day price we had seen online and just paid the difference. The moral: if you're not sure you'll be there 2 days just buy the 1 day ticket and you can always upgrade it later that day without penalty.

“great family park”
Reviewed July 27, 2006

Went kings Island with 4 children ages ranging from 13-5yrs old. All of us had a great day, from the older thrill seekers down to the youngest child. We come from So. Calif. so we know amusement parks, Kings Island rated high. New Nickelodeon kids area was incredible, we all had a could time. Usually the older kids can't wait to leave the kiddie rides, we had to drag them away. A few problems on an otherwise great day, staff was not very helpful anywhere in park, you could tell it was just a temp job and they didnt care much. Also they didnt serve kids meals in most of the dining areas in the park, this makes the cost of meals go up quick, and we had a hard time finding something the little ones would eat. went during the week so lines were pretty short, park wasnt crowded at all from what we were used to.

“Must Read Before Buying Tix”
Reviewed July 26, 2006

I haved gone to Kings Island for the past 35 or so years. I am now a parent of two kids and we have gone the past 2 or 3 years. This past Monday, July 24 2006, we planned our visit. Little did we know it was gold member buy one get one free!!! 41,000 guests in the park and people had to be turned away. We rode 5 rides in 5 hours!! We went back to the hotel, swam and called it a day. We hit the park the next day (bought one of those 2 day passes) and got there before it opened. We rode 5 rides in 1 hour!!!! We were there for about 4 hours and rode several rides. The moral of the story is, do NOT go during a promotion unless that is your intention. Go the following day and the park is yours.

As for the Kings Island the park, it was really fun. The Nickelodean area is always crowded because it has the kiddie rides as well as the medium thrill rides. All in all it was a lesson learned but the kids still had fun and that is all that matters.

“A fun day”
Reviewed July 10, 2006

My daughter and I just returned from a road trip where we visited 3 of the Paramount Parks. We really enjoyed our day at King's Island. It was clean and attractive. Since it was 4th of July weekend, the park was busy, but a lot of things were going on. They even offered an all you could eat 4th of July picnic for $10 per person which was a real bargain. The food was good, so if you visit when any special meals are being offered, I would recommend that you take advantage of them. A ride up in the Effiel tower replica is also a great thing to do, as you get a great view of the park and surrounding area. We didn't get to ride some of the rides due to long lines, but those we did manage to get on were fun. They have a lot of stores as well which prices which are pretty reasonable considering you are in a theme park.
