Boasting a red brick wrap around porch, the steps lead you to a prominently displayed plaque from the National Register of Historical Places. As you enter through the hand carved solid mahogany doors, you are greeted by a most dramatic wooden staircase. Our host is most anxious to share with you the history behind the civil war doctors mansion with it’s handcrafted woodwork, original fireplaces and pocket doors, that have been restored with 20th century sophistication. “refined food and good wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

Environment was very good, an old house with luxury interior; food was good, some french and Italian contamination. Really good wine list for quantity and quality, also concerning wines by the glass. It's recommended in you are in good company and with a good budget to invest.

“Great ambiance and service but food very lacking”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

Our server was very good, and the old restored house is fantastic. The appetizer of elk sliders was really delicious. Our entrees were a mess. The port wine sauce on the filet mignon was good, but it was served with the dough-iest deep fried mushrooms we have ever come across. They had to work at it to ruin a Cobb salad. It was a warm piece of baked chicken dumped on the side of a cold plate of lettuce. Then drop on some bacon and sliced avocado (avocado was good) and a halved boiled egg. Really? A do-it-yourself Cobb salad? With warm chicken? It was not dressed, so I had to ask for dressing, and a little cup of the worst vinegar dressing was provided. I would go here for a drink and appetizer at the small-but-beautiful bar. No more.

“The saving grace of Marysville”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

My husband and I went for Valentines Day. The service was excellent; they took my coat off for me, had great wine and wine service, and brought each woman a rose. The waiter was very professional and made suggestions to help me with the menu selection. The cuisine was excellent and impressed us. The portions were small and intended for multiple courses. I had scallops with an infused pomegranate sauce, they were so tender they melted like butter upon eating them. My husband had a sirloin wrapped in bacon and it was juicy and properly prepared as medium well. Dining here is a rare treasure.
