High priced but high quality. This was an interesting place to eat. It is a "house" (Buckley House), so I wasn't 100% sure we were going to the right place. After spotting the sign and going in I kinda enjoyed the "feel" of the place. Prime Rib was DA-BOMB!!

I have eaten at the Buckley House on multiple occasion for business and pleasure. The food is consistently amazing! The menu is impressive from appetizers-dessert. The food is fresh and well prepared. Wonderful seafood dishes! It is a small restaurant that is located in an old bed and breakfast. Reservations are advised as seating is limited. Amazing find!

As local residents we have eaten at the Buckley House many times, and find the food and service to be consistently excellent. This is no accident -- the owner/operator/chef is focused on using high-quality ingredients cooked and presented beautifully. Items off the regular menu and special daily offerings provide substantial variety, and the Middle Eastern lunch buffet offered during cool-weather months is outstanding. Eating on the patio in back during the warm-weather months is also delightful.

Everything we ate was magnificently prepared. Although this restaurant is characterized as Middle Eastern, it is really America/continental cuisine with a few Middle Eastern touches. The presentation is beautiful. Too bad there is not more on the menu from the rich Middle Eastern traditions, particularly for vegetarians. There is only one veg item on the menu and it is pasta. At $18 for an artfully arranged pile of fusilli or $24 for the cheese tortellini in red sauce, that's some pretty expensive pasta. So many possibilities missed! Desserts (we had the decadent flourless chocolate torte and the mango custard, which was lightly scented with rose water) are truly outstanding, and the crabcakes were superior to any this Maryland resident has ever had. Bottom line: a very expensive restaurant, even by DC standards. mostly worth it, but could do much better by vegetarians, and for those who might like to explore the grand Levantine traditions more deeply.
