“Mama Vita's...mama mia!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Great local place serving creative dishes and great pizza. If you don't have time for dinner call ahead and order a take-and-bake. The Jambalasta is perfect for anyone, but those who love jambalaya but have shell fish allergies will be in heaven. It's not a fast food restaurant so the time between order and service is a great indicator that they're making your order and not nuking yesterday's leftovers. The wine selection is surprisingly large and varied. 'Mama' Lucy seems to live there so you know the owner cares about what's going on. Live entertainment is a staple in the lounge and Todd makes you feel welcome. Every community would be lucky to have a Mama Vita's.

“Not your regular pizza place”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Mama's is just a great little restaurant. We like that the menu items are broader and somewhat different than the rest of the Italian restaurants around town. You can tell the meals are made fresh and didn't just fall off the last truck. Our service has been very good each time. We tend to eat late in the evening and Mama's is the one place that has never told us they were "out" of whatever we ordered. Just a great place to eat with really good food.

“Nice little neighborhood restaurant”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

This is a casual little gem perfect for those evenings when you don't feel like cooking. The food is the home cooked kind of good that satisfies, but isn't going to knock your socks off. If you look over the menu you can find some nice values with recommendations for wine pairings. The wine selection is much more expansive than you would expect from a neighborhood restaurant and has some nice choices. Our waitress was attentive and had a good sense of humor. A must when dealing with me and my friends since we like to tease. Overall this was a pleasant experience and the live music next door in the bar area only added to an enjoyable evening. Go with your expectations in the middle somewhere.

“Nice local restaurant”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

Mama Vita's is a casual Italian restaurant that serves some good dishes. The chicken picatta was very good, The veal marasala could have been a bit more flavorfull and the bruschetta appetizer was mediocre. Cannolis for dessert were VERY good. I thought the service was passable altho the kitchen seemed a bit slow...we ordered appetizers well before we ordered our meals but they arrived after our salads...rather than before. Our Server blamed it on Pizza preparation overloading the kitchen...Overall a good dining experience if you want to get away from the chain restaurants.

“A little pricey”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

Nice quiet atmosphere and pretty good service but a little pricey for the portions/food. Food is good quality though. Nice place to go as a couple and have a bottle of wine. Will go again as it is in a close location to us.
