“Best Lunch Specials in town!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2011

We love Toots! I work in an area with many automotive dealerships, an "Auto Mall" if you will... My coworkers and I eat at this Toots location several times per week because they have amazing lunch specials. For $5.00 you can have a delicious special of the day, some days it's jumbo wings, or grilled chicken salad etc... you get the point! If you are in the Fields Ertel/ Mason Montgomery area, you have to go there! They even have dinner and drink specials for after work!

“Fast and Friendly Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2011

Good happy hour specials, usually room to sit at the bar, friendly folks and fast service. Great place to sit and kick back a couple of beers while snacking on typical pub food.

“I recommend the catfish, shrimp, and...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2010

I recommend the catfish, shrimp, and Toot's burger. The beer is cold and the service is friendly. Disregard the reviews from the folks with bad attitudes that sound like they were angry about their life when they walked in the door. Not everything on the menu is excellent but it's a solid place that the kids will enjoy or you can go to with the guys/girls and have a good time. It works for any type of group and most tastes.

“Used to be good, but now it sucks”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2009

Quality of food has taken a nose dive here. Just to be clear, no problems with the service - they are always right on top of most things and try to oblige. Toot's used to be our favorite burger and wings joint in the Fields-Ertel area. No longer.

We went there on a Friday night in November. My wife tried to order the new salad and soup combo but they were out of their signature potato soup. She was quite disappointed.

We got a basket of fried pickle chips, another signature item, and the chips were wretchedly salty. They are always salty, but I mean like over the top, almost inedible, and we left over half the basket. The manager said that their recipe had not changed. Perhaps not, but whoever is in the kitchen has changed something, and it REALLY irritates me when a manager does the "I am a robot and I cannot investigate this" thing. They took this item off the bill.

The reuben here was once excellent. Tonight the bread was not grilled tasting and had an incredibly dried out texture, like slices of bread left out overnight. It was kind of nasty. I suspect that some stupid kid in the kitchen who doesn't know anything about food "grilled' the sandwich in a dry hot skillet.

Toot's must be emphasizing their bar over the food, or maybe they get so many families with screaming rowdy kids and sports fans to pack the place that they don't need to care about the food quality any more.

And oh, yeah. Mobs of entitled, spoiled Landen area brats running and screaming constantly through the restaurant.

Regardless, this place has really declined in food quality. The food was disappointing and kind of nasty as noted.
