We were looking for a last second getaway close by and stumbled across the Mohican Farmhouse while searching the web. My husband loved the pictures so we decided to give it a shot. There were 12 of us all together (4 young kids) and I can tell you we had a blast! First off, the Farmhouse is perfectly decorated, top of the line furniture, plenty of room and comfortable beds (the king bed was so roomy). There were plenty of TVs--a large one in the central room above the fireplace, but also in bedrooms and in the room with the round card table. There was a playstation for the kids to play and even some toys and books to keep them interested. The weather was warm so we spent a lot of time outside. There was a nice screened in porch that opened to the kitchen where we could relax and watch the kids play. The kids loved watching the llamas and there was a friendly cat they could pet on the porch. My husband caught a large bass and crappie and the kids caught some bluegill. There was even a pedal boat to use on the pond. The trails were just a short walk down the road and were very easy to hike--we passed a few people riding horses which you have to get out of the way for. We had a campfire at the firepit the last night. We did rent the cottage and the kids spent a lot of time making that there own special playhouse. The kitchen had everything but a dishwasher, but wasn't too bad washing by hand. Shane was very friendly and easy to contact with questions. We'll be back.
