Great location. Clean and secluded but near trails. Couch uncomfortable and worn out. Would recommend bringing soap, coffee/tea and sugar. Kitchen well equipped for cooking and has salt/pepper but nothing else.
Hot tub was great but would have liked WiFi to stream something/be able to communicate by phone email since no phone signal.
We stayed this weekend and loved the cabin, and location. The cleaning crew did an excellent job, everything was clean and smelled nice. The view is amazing and it’s close to the trails. The hot tub was very relaxing and a great way to enjoy the snowy weather without freezing. Cons* The tv is outdated the DVD player did not work, luckily we discovered this before we went into town for food. The couch and bed were not very comfortable.
perfectly private, beautiful, hot tub deck perfect, bewaree no bath soap or hair dryer, low lighting
My husband and I stayed three nights in this cabin, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Absolutely private, beautiful weather, Spring in full bloom, and completely "off the grid." There are no words to describe how much we loved it, and how it restored our souls.
Here are some details and tips, so your stay can be perfect, too:
To begin with, we were looking to "ease" into camping. Eventually, we're interested in tenting, but hey, let's work our way up to it. The kitchen is extremely well-appointed, but we didn't know, so I packed my favorite cooking tools and everything we'd need, like food storage containers and plastic wrap. We brought our own french-press coffee maker, favorite knives, and such. We stocked up on ice--don't forget that.
The hot tub was wonderful--our favorite feature by far. The tub works perfectly, but it's aging. It's has been through a lot, and its controls are worn-out and a bit of a puzzle. We spent enough time in the tub, though, to figure it out. ;-)
The fireplace was clean-clean-clean! Loved it.
The bed was extremely comfortable, but we brought our own pillows and blankets to be sure. Definitely bring yours.
The bathroom is also clean. It's country water, remember, so it smells a teensy bit of sulfur. There's plenty of hot water, though! Do bring your own towels, so that you have a set for the shower and the tub.
The back deck is GREAT. Absolutely private, woods and birds everywhere...<sigh> The grill is well-used, but clean and ready to go. The previous guests even left some charcoal. I brought our "chimney" to start the fire, rather than rely on lighter fluid.
There is NO cell data service, wifi, or television. Even if you can get a bar or two, your phone won't really connect. So wonderful not to be able to check work email. There IS a DVD player, if you want, but no cable or anything. This is a retreat from the world.
In summary, it's modest, private, clean, and cozy. We hardly left the cabin, and we can't wait to go back. I hope you love it as much as we did.
My husband and I stayed here for a few days in October of 2015 for our anniversary. This cabin was perfect for us! It had a nice romantic ambiance and was quiet and serene. It was also super close to all the places we wanted hike. The whole cabin was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed for those few days, coffee pot, pans, toaster, fridge, microwave silverware, glasses and mugs, as well as different sizes of bowls.
The one thing that was not an a big deal for us but that some might find difficult is the drive way is on a steep hill and is a little difficult to get out of.
Other than that everything was perfect!
