“Washboards Anyone?”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

You got to stop here if you're anywhere near Logan, Ohio. It's a quaint business with a super staff that still makes washboards for everyday use. Actually it's really the only one in the world that still makes them with any type of quality anymore. These are still hand made and this company sends them overseas to our Troops who use them where water and power is at a minimum. And I understand it's at no cost to them. Tour lasts about an hour, maybe less but it's very interesting. They say about 40% of there business is still used for what it's designed for. My wife and I found it fascinating.

“Washboard Festival Fun”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

The Washboard Festival in Logan, OH is a fun little festival to attend. Lots of good food, entertainment & friendly people. The auction they hold to raise money has quality items. Rides for the kids are free!

“a little bit of history to be seen”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

was interested in seeing some sights besides just the hocking hills state park. decided to stop here as it a part of history. we arrived after almost everyone left for the day but where allowed to walk around on our own. owner is really nice and the staff we meet were very friendly. we did pick out a washboard to take home. It would be neat to see them make them if you can arrive when a tour time is.

“great stop”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

We were greeted by a nice lady behind the desk who offered to let us view the factory. Everyone was nice and friendly. You can purchase a variety of washboards for washing cloths or playing as musical instruments they also have a large array of soaps. This is an interesting place to visit and see. Glad we stopped.

“Glad we stopped!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

After a few days of hiking we were looking for something a little educational for our kids to see before heading out of town. We were too late for the guided tour, but still were able to walk around the factory and the lady working was so kind to show us how they make the washboards. We enjoyed visiting with the owner of the company and hearing about his journey from London. Although we won't use a washboard ourselves, our kids were excited to buy a mini washboard as a souvenir and enjoyed checking out some of the soaps from london that they sell in their gift shop. This "made in the usa" company has an excellent program for sending washboards overseas to military people and we enjoyed reading some of the letters on display from the people who have received them. Be sure to stop!
