Best for seeing cliffs and walking along them. May not be good if you're afraid of heights. About a mile walk. Light crowds. They have bathrooms but they might be porta-potties. My 4th best trail in Hocking Hills.

We did both the upper rim and the lower of Cantwell Cliffs and loved the quiteness and solitude of the area. Even though there were others there we were still able to find quite spots to enjoy the views and the scenery. Loved the little bit of challenge with this hike but also liked that we weren't needing to hold onto roots to get from the bottom to the top. Ohio certainly knows how to maintain their parks. Will definitely be back for another visit and more hikes.

The cliffs were gorgeous, but the trail had either a steep descent through a narrow pass in some boulders, or followed along the edge of a large gorge. A little too difficult for my liking, but what we saw was beautiful.

This is the furthest north of the 6 main attractions of Hocking Hills. I found it the least impressive of the bunch but that's not a bad thing. They're all spectacular in their own way. Would love to see it in the spring when there's water flowing or the fall when the leaves are changing. I would have never thought Ohio had areas that remind me of Door County, WI. The trail maps you find on-line need work. They don't correspond with what's actually there. We found that to be the case in all 6 locations.

Just beautiful in August. Can only imagine what it would be like in the fall. One of our favorite trails.
