There is a latrine near the parking area, with a pump for fresh water. There is a rim hike which goes up many stairs and is NOT suited for physically handicapped. The lower trail is mostly flat and runs a long a shallow stream with steep cliffs on both sides. There is two handicap parking places at the VERY entrance to the trail while other parking area is some ways away from the entrance to the trail. Near the back of the trail is several small trickling falls, which may have more water after a rain, but not when I was there. It is mostly shaded and a good trail to let toddlers loose with little supervision. It is a peaceful walk but had very little stimulating scenery.

Can't believe you are in Ohio....rock formations are fabulous. Take the time and hike around as there is lots to see. Wear hiking shoes as rocks get slippery.

Cantwell Cliffs is not as well known as Ash Cave or Old Man's Cave, but the area is really beautiful, with lots of interesting rock formations. While this should not be considered an easy hike, my friend and I managed very well with four children ages 5 through 10. The kids loved it, they could handle the steps and inclines but it provided enough of a challenge that it felt more exciting than just a simple nature walk.

Beautiful and well preserved. Some of the steps can by a bit tricky, BE CAREFUL!!! Well worth the hike to see the sheer beauty of the cliffs from the bottom.

We really enjoyed this hike. We went on all of the trails in the area and this was our favorite. We could have spent the entire day here.
