We went on a self-guided kayak tour and stopped to visit Rockbridge. It was a wonderful trip down the river, although much longer than we expected for being relative novice kayakers! Well worth the money! And the the guy who dropped us off at the river was exceptionally nice and helpful. He gave us some insider tips for places to visit that are off the beaten path.

Our first stop this past weekend was some mini golf.. The course was a blast, and hole #5 is great!! Be sure to let the ball go ** INTO** the waterfall, as it comes out and you almost get a hole in 1. We were the only ones on the course for almost 15 holes. Played 1 more round right away. The fudge is DEVINE!! Great cheap entertainment!!!

The other canoe livery wouldn't take our business even though we called and called trying to have a canoe trip. This business was open and it was very fun. When we first arrived I was a little leary because the staff didn't know the answers to our questions but then another worker came in and took over and was very helpful and made me feel comfortable with our choice of canoe trip. Great time, beautiful river trip, safe and secure canoes etc. Highly recommend!

We visited this campgroud over the weekend, and for me it was not worth the money. They are in the process of working on it (which it needs major work). The Majority of the grounds was not leveled, and the roads heading back there was a pain. If it rains good luck getting your car through there. We ended up speaking to the manager, who was very gracious, whch is sad that you actually have great people running a work in progress campground. I might come back to this spot, but not any time soon.
