It’s not often I write reviews but felt compelled after our visit to Thai Kitchen. My wife and I both agreed the Tom Yum soup was the best we've ever had. More than that, it was the best Asian soup I've ever had and I eat a lot of Pho, Thai coconut, Hot & Sour and Miso soups.
My wife had a salad then tofu curry noodles. The salad was iceberg lettuce (not her favorite) but had a nice selection of fresh vegetables. She really enjoyed the curry dish that night and as leftovers the next day. I had veggie rice paper wraps and the Thai Kitchen brown rice. The rice dish was unlike anything I've had before with large slices of carrots, raisins and Thai spices. Be careful with spice. I like my foods hotter by American Standards and ordered a 5 (out of 10). I might have enjoyed a 6, but that would have been it for me. My wife likes medium spicy. She ordered a 3 on the hot scale and said it was good for her.
Also, we are both maintain strict vegan diets and my wife eats gluten free. Our server had a thorough understanding of the dish ingredients, was very attentive to our needs and pleased to assist. I can’t overstate how important this is for us and Thai Kitchen was top notch.
This is a tiny family restaurant. It’s got a comfortable authentic Thai ambience. Seating capacity was about 12. There were a fair number of carryout orders while we were there so they obviously have a loyal following, even though the location is small and inconspicuous.
The only complaint I have is that we live on the opposite side of town and can’t get there more often. If you like Asian food, don’t miss this hidden Gem. I really can’t wait to get back.
