This hidden little gem is on route 59 in Kent, Ohio. The extensive menu is all genuine Thai and prices are very reasonable. The Thai chefs are skilled and often visit the dining room and ask the dinner guests if their meals are prepared properly. Service is excellent, due to the small size of the restaurant. The Crispy Pad Tai is my wife's favorite, and portions are on the large size.

This was our first time at the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with the food, service and atmosphere. We had Pad Thai and Yellow Curry with pork. Both dishes were tasty and plentiful. We even returned within the week to try other dishes. Highly recommend!

I've been to many Thai restaurants and I wouldn't rank this in the top half. I ordered the spicier version of the Phad Thai and asked for it to be extra spicy. It was not spicy at all. It tasted bland and almost like it was reheated. I wouldn't go back here.

If it weren't for the clean facility and very pleasant staff, this review would be in the "poor" category because the food was mediocre. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, I was looking forward to a wonderful Thai meal. On the plus side, the Thai iced coffee was tasty. But the summer rolls had obviously been sitting for a while and any shrimp in them was negligible. The seafood coconut soup wasn't bad, but $4.25 for a small bowl seemed excessive. The worst, though, was the item listed on the menu as "wild boar basil," which featured relatively flavor-free pork (perhaps boiled rather than stir-fried as the menu indicated), with undercooked green beans, a few slices of red and green pepper, and perhaps eggplant, with a mild (not spicy as advertised) sauce. It would have been a disappointing choice at an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. I wouldn't eat at Wild Papaya again.

If we hadn't seen the reviews and been looking for it, we never would have found this place. And that would have been a real shame, since the food is on par with the best big-city Thai restaurants, at a fraction of the price. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was pleasant, once we got past the strip mall exterior. But the food is the real reason for going - nothing short of amazing, with just the right balance of heat & flavor. A true find - we will be back!
