I was in Kent, OH 08/03/2013 to see the annual Hall of Fame Game on Sunday . All hotels in Canton were booked and this was the closest I could get and it was filled to capacity. Not only was the Hall of Fame Game happening, so was The Bridgestone Golf tournament. I never witnessed a desk clerk take so much grief from patrons who just refused to, #1 accept the fact that hotels, and I mean all hotels put a hold on some of the credit on your card for incidentals. It is standard procedure in every hotel, but some people just need it explained again and again and again. I waited thru all these explanations from the desk clerk (Chris Iacobucci) to a patron that could not get it thru her head, she could not take the explanation that the hold would be lifted when she checked out. The next people in line were three men who seemed to think they were supposed to have their rooms side by side. I don't know of any hotels that promise adjoining rooms or side by side. What was the big deal they were three grown men, why the need for such closeness , were they afraid of the dark. Chris Iacobucci had to put up with there whining and crying even though he had there rooms directly across from each other. I think there was more to these men than meets the eye. As I was next in line to be checked in my heart could only go out to this young man who handled it all with a professionalism you rarely see these days. Chris always maintained a calm and helpful attitude and never once lost his poise, he would be a fine addition to any hotel staff in the world. I know I have traveled the world. The Hotel was Immaculate , I thought it was a new hotel, but Shelly Weiland the General Manager of the hotel told me it had been renovated and that her and the staff constantly are cleaning to keep the appearance sparkling, and you can see the evidence of it. The rooms are immaculate, walls without a mark, carpets are spotless, windows crystal clear , bathroom excellent, pool heated, the halls are superbly clean. I love Hampton Inns because of the breakfasts and the beds , I missed breakfast because the beds were so comfortable. If you are ever in Kent, Ohio. You would be making a mistake if you did not stay at this Hotel.

Room Tip: I always like the end of the halls , keeps you away from elevator traffic and makes it more quiet.

We stayed here for 4 days and were very happy with this hotel. The rooms are kept very clean with duvets (quilt covers) that are changed with the sheets. The rooms are well designed, so that you have a desk to work on with plenty of easy-to-access plugs to recharge whatever devices you travel with. Comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent breakfast, beautiful common area. The best part was the outstanding staff! They went out of their way to answer whatever questions we had, and made sure our stay was comfortable. They go the extra mile!

Room Tip: Our room was at the far end of the hall, on the third floor. It faced the highway, yet we had no noise.

Spent 7 nights here in a row; every staff member was helpful and courteous every time and all the time. Nicely remodeled lobby etc. Hamptons are also a great bet. Beds are doubles and 4 people in there means they are cozy; so keep that in mind, Rooms are seemingly newly remodeled; kids used the pool; all was good; food was fine in the morning as well; can't beat a hampton

Although not in city center, it's close to the highway and best of all, it's in a nice, quiet area and somewhat low key. The hotel itself is very comfortable & cozy. If I'm back in this area, I would stay here again.
