Service poor, had to go find the male server for additional wine ..when a restaurant has just one other group that usually is a sign that something is wrong. Sangria was good, pizza good, cheese/meat plate good but cost was way high for the value. Porch area..get rid of the active barn swallows flying over the customers heads.

We went into this place and back to use the restrooms. Never greeted or asked if they could help us. We return and went to the bar, where we were ignored by the "bar person" for 5-10 minutes. When we finally got her attention, there were only 2 other people there, we asked if we could get the sampler. Well she brought it back, explained which wine was which off the menu and left us alone. Not once did she check back to see if we had any questions or give us any facts about the wine. The only information we were given about the wines where when we asked 2 specific questions. The wine was good, I did buy a bottle, however if I had to make the decision to purchase something based on service I would have bought nothing.

We love wine but prefer a good Cabernet, Merlot or Chardonnay. Their dry red was more of a semi-sweet wine and priced at over $20 per bottle. Been to other wineries in Ohio such as Breitenbach or Ravens Glenn with much better wine at a lower price. We were just there to try wine as we already had a meal which is probably why we got ignored by the staff.

The powers that be at Kelley's Island Wine Company decided to expand the wine list to things other than island wines. You can actually get some pretty darn good wine there.

My family visited the Wine Company while on the Island last summer. It was a good time and we had great service and advice offered by our waiter. I would recommend trying all the wines, as they do have a pretty good variety for a small operation, and there is likely something that all will like.
