My wife and I have eaten here twice and both times have been really impressed. You need to get here early or you will have a wait. My wife and I have both order the Monte Cristo when we went and it is one of those things that you want to try something else, but it is just so good. If you are looking for something healty go get your rabbit food from Panera, but if you are looking for a huge portion of good food then this is the palce for you. The monte Cristo is a deef fried grilled cheese that comes with a berry sauce that goes great with the sandwich. I am a big eater and I can only finish about half of the sandwich on an empty stomach. They also have several appetizers to choose from and I would suggest the artichoke dip with chips. It has a kind of hipster vibe, but the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun,

We visited the Melt in Independence Ohio this weekend and the only good thing that I can say about the experience was that the staff was friendly, polite and able to handle high levels of stress. Clearly this is a popular place because the wait was to be 2 hours (we opted for carryout with a 35 minute wait). The system for seating and serving and even paying for carryout was inefficient (believe me, I had 30 minutes to observe)The food would have been disappointing had there been no wait. I had the Cuban sandwhich and if I didn't know that it contained ham and pulled pork, I could have been chewing any tasteless meat. The bread was overly greasy and the fries were tasteless. The garlic tomato soup tasted like and had the consistency of marinara sauce. We were out of towners and this place had been recommended by a friend who had seen the reviews. Definitely not worth the wait or any amount of money.

This place is a lot of fun right from the start, the menus are on old LP covers. The staff is very knowledgeable and the menu is all about grilled cheese. They serve anything you can imagine on a grilled cheese; from the Hot Italian (grilled salami, honey ham, pepperoni, sun-dried tomato pesto, roasted garlic, banana peppers, and provolone) to the Parmageddon (2 potato & cheese pierogi, fresh napa vodka kraut, sautéed onions, and sharp cheddar) they are all great! I also strongly recommend the Fat City Burger (8 oz ground steak burger, salami, honey ham, crisp bacon, Swiss, American), it is amazing. Be prepared to wait a few minutes at the peak lunch and dinner hours. So just have a beer at the bar and wait because the food is well worth it!

Never been there before. Saw it on tripadvisor. Pretty small place, with a really long wait. Friday night at 8 was and hour and half wait. Thankfully there was only 2 of us so we sat at the bar.
The main menu is all different kinds of grilled cheese. They are huge, so you might want to split one with someone else. Very good.
