The sounds and sights of nature and the proximity to the water are wonderful. A nice place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Love this place. It's natural beauty is the perfect backdrop for a walk anytime of the day. You can see the birds, squirrels, frogs and fish in their natural habitat. Definitely a gem to have this preserve in little Huron, Ohio.

We used to hike with our dogs here most weekends. Such a tranquil and pastoral space. Many joggers and walkers make it a friendly and warm spot to meet complete strangers, who end up being long time friends. So well maintained.

If you're looking for a safe place to go walking, this is it. They have several nature trails and also a paved trail that goes quite a ways, all the way to the lake. It also connects to a beach (but you'd have to walk for a while so it wouldn't be the best beach to party at). There is an observation deck overlooking the marsh.

One tip: lock your car. I read in the paper all the time about vehicles getting entered there. There's only one house near by and the entrance is off of a road with a 45 mile per hour speed limit that is rarely observed.
