This hotel is undergoing renovations. It's seen better days and may again. Great location. Adequate parking for larger vehicles. Rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly. Great breakfast. I'd stay there again.

We were given a room on the second floor- The stairway was dirty and dank. The second floor had about a dozen large black flies (presumable from a dead animal in the ceiling and massive water stains.) The were cracker crumbs and cigarette butts on the hallway floor- it had not been vacuumed in quite sometime. We requested a room change- which took over TWO hours of haggling (our rooms were prepaid or otherwise we would have left- we probably should have anyway.) We stayed two nights- our 'new room' was in construction zone- the hallway was clean but smelled of old stale smoke (and there was smoking right outside the exterior door . Our renovated room ok- smelled better than the hall but was missing an alarm clock, a light was burnt out, and the bathroom fan was not working which was leading to heavy rusting. The pool room had roof debris falling from two spots- it felt unsafe. It should be condemned. The second evening we were lockout of the hotel and our room because our keys expired a day early. Avoid this place at all costs. How has this place past any kind of inspection.

Room Tip: Book another hotel!!!! DO NOT stay here.

We only stayed one night over Memorial Day weekend, but came away very happy. My wife and I had a king bed. It was the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a chain hotel. Pillows were just as we liked them.
Used the WiFi to check email for both of our accouts the night we arrived, and the next morning. Worked just fine, good speed. The breakfast buffet was generous, with a good selection, not just cereals and a waffle machine. Location was very good, just off the Ohio Turnpike, and very close to the national park. Was very reasonably priced, especially on a holiday weekend. We found aux. entrance locked. There was some construction going on, which you had to pass through on the way to the buffet. Felt safe aqnd staff was friendly.
Clean hotel, would recommend and stay at again.

We stayed with a Boys High School Volleyball Team. They also had a convention for recovering alcoholics/addicts that controlled the entire hotel. Gathered at almost every exit smoking, commandeering the lobby and surrounding areas, not very polite people either. Total lack of respect for the hotel staff, property and other guests. The sad part is the hotel staff seemed complacent at best.
The breakfast buffet was poorly maintained (around 10:00 am) and tables were not monitored or cleared for incoming patrons. We cleared our own table and got our own silverware, etc. Food was not being restocked and had only half of the items available the last hour we were there. Employees could be heard complaining about how busy it was and they were not making any money - well they weren't doing anything!!!!!
Rooms were average, clean but in need of some repairs. Some construction was going on.... on the exterior
The entire property seemed to lack security, right on the highway, both sides of hotel were to open busy roads....at night entrance doors were propped open... never saw a security or police person on sit at night....No safes in rooms....

Management needs to evaluate the type of groups they book at the same time, we were not comfortable with the teens and recovering alcoholics/addicts in the same areas. Also need some employee turnover... for people who want a job and are happy to be at work.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend. We were hoping to go dancing in Cruisers Bar, since we had fun there last time. We were disappointed when the DJ, who was supposed to be there from 9pm-1am, didn't show up until 11pm. The atmosphere of the dance club is why we stayed here.
There was sporting events in the area that weekend, so we had a lot of young, noisy people in the surrounding rooms.
None of the secondary entrances locked, even though you were supposed to use a key card to get in and out.
The staff was friendly and helpful and almost always had a smile on their faces and always said 'hello'.
The location is close enough to eating and shopping.

Located on the east side of Cuyahoga Valley National Park near the Brandywine Falls area, this is a very large complex of hotel, conference center, bar, and restaurant. Our room with two queen beds was well appointed but with a small bath (however with big fluffy towels) and no microwave or refrigerator. The wifi connection was very slow and the AC unit cycled on and off every few minutes in a very annoying manner on the first night but after adjusting the setting was better the second night. There was no indication that they recycled anything, nor was there a notice about reusing towels instead of replacing them each day. The restaurant offers a free full breakfast buffet each morning which was very nice with a very helpful wait staff, especially Doris who helped with local information and directions. Additionally, a $3.00 discount coupon for drinks at the bar is provided for each guest at check in. Service at the bar for drinks as well as food from a limited menu was pleasant and prompt. It would be nice if they emphasized care for the environment a bit but, for the area, this is a very nice and, at $75/ night, reasonably priced establishment.
