Whatever you do, don't sign up for the advance purchase rooms. We did and then tried to change the reservation by a single day to avoid returning home during Hurricane Irene. After being routed to four different 1-800 numbers and put on hold for more than an hour, we finally got through. The customer service rep had the audacity to suggest if i was worried about the hurricane, maybe i shouldn't be traveling at all. Either way, they are $300 richer and i have no hotel room for one one-day trip to Ohio. Tell your friends. It's clear Hilton Hotels doesn't care about the safety and needs of travelers.
