We took our three boys Sunday and spent the whole day at the zoo. The safari bus was excellent and we saw tons of cool animals. The actual animal enclosures at the rest of the park are VERY open/large meaning it’s easy to not see animals from the designated look out spots. Keep walking and you’ll likely see them from another spot. We did the paid extra cost zoorassic Dino adventure for one son and it was ok. A ranger takes a small group, 3-5 kids and their adults through the same Dino area everyone else visits and spends about an hour explaining Dino facts and interacting with the kids. Our ranger was great and shared a REAL 75 million year old Dino tooth with the kids. The tour was nice, keep in mind it’s extra, and only for patient/hardcore Dino lovers. The rest of the park was nice, you can’t get super close to the animals but the kids loved it all. YOU CAN BRING FOOD INTO THE PARK. Otherwise you’re spending $15-20 a plate for lunch. The hippo area was one of our favs with all the hippos AND activities for the kids.

Zoo is quite small which makes it great for little kids to get around. The dinosaur exhibition is brilliant - positioned along a track so its like you are going on a dinosaur hunt. The path is quite dusty though. The safari ride was great - guide very friendly and informative. The hippo exhibition allows you to get up close and personal to these lovely animals and also has a nice play area for the kiddies.

We went with our almost 4 year old and she loved it.

We visited this zoo because we want to bring our son to see zoo in a different way. Its quite a large zoo so safari tracks is a must. Just sit nicely, seeing animals, guided by funny rangers.
The place is quite far from city and they should have regular bus or shuttle from werribee st. We were kinda late for the public bus from st but they are taxis available

Did enjoy this. Weather was a. It cool. Bit confused as the advert for this showed a lion on it, but there didn’t seem to be any there! The train that takes you around is good and you have good views. The driver also tells you information about the park and animals. Quite interesting. Not badly priced and sucks recommend.

This zoo is wonderful. It complements its sister zoos at Healsville and Melbourne perfectly. The safari tour is a must. To see the African animals in a landscape not too dissimilar to their native home is awesome. Will be back.

School holidays, the sun was shining and the zoo was busy.
My grandkids had two specific things to do. Firstly the Safari bus which is always fun with knowledgable drivers who give a commentary.
The "Zoorassic" dinosaur exhibition was excellent. It is set in natural surroundings on the river flat, and the dinosaurs were amazing.
A very enjoyable day out finished off in the Rangers Area for dress ups.
