“Great little hideaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

Worth a drive just off the highway almost midway between Launceston and Devonport. Really good coffee and food. The best gelato I've ever tasted, apparently made from scratch the authentic Italian way. Pies are excellent too. Food is always consistent here. We have not been disappointed over several visits.

“Home made Gelato”

All the taste and flavours you can imagine. They taste wonderful and just a few minutes off the main highway and the road rejoins a few miles later.

“Good spot for a late meal.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2012

Late-night travellers have long blessed this place because it's the only cafe along the Bass Highway that stays open for 24 hours. It's a good honest bakery, nothing spectacular in terms of food, but offers the usual range of pies, filled rolls, etc. Quality ingredients, quick service, not much in the way of atmosphere but always welcoming. While you're there, take away some of their nice bread and cakes (which include old-fashioned specialties like Eccles cakes).
