Spent our first night in Tasmania here in March 2013, what a lovely introduction to our two week holiday. The hosts are lovely people, very welcoming and the complimentary beer and port is a nice touch. Our room was spacious and clean although the soft furnishings and carpets could do with replacing, bed a little hard but that seems to be the norm here inTasmania. The breakfast (included) was very substantial and ensured we left with full bellies. Definitely recommend a stay here as the building itself is a lovely Georgian style with a grand staircase made of Huon pine, off street under cover parking and welcoming doggies when you arrive.

I had lived in Ulverstone for more than 20 years and always wondered what was down the tree-lined driveway off South Road. Having been away for a year, it was nice to come back and visit friends and use Boscobel as a base, being just 10 minutes walk from the town. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable--and prepared a lovely breakfast for us. It was a homely place, and it was lovely sharing breakfase around the big dining table with another couple who were travelling from overseas. This is a great place for those who enjoy history. Boscobel is one of the older residences in the town and does well as a B&B. The gardens are very pleasant and well maintained. The house itself was clean and well presented, though I don't envy the owners keeping up with the maintenance!

Room Tip: Looks like there once was a pool but it hasn't been maintained.

Have stayed at Boscobel a few times on business, but it would be great as a base for exploring the area. The owners are delightful, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much effort. And the breakfasts, well..................!!!!! Awesome

The history surrounding this grand property pervades your every moment. It is a very comfortable and spacious B&B with friendly and welcoming hosts. The frosty winter outside was counteracted by the warmth within.

Room Tip: The Spa room has a nice river view.
