“Outstanding fish and chips”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

A simple eat in/takeaway with a decent selection of seafood. Absolutely one of the best fish and chip meals I've had. Tempura batter was fantastic and the fish was cooked just right. Can't give them enough praise for it, was a stand out meal amongst some great eating in Tasmania!
If you're just passing by do yourself a favour and stop in!!

“Excellent Fish and Chips”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

A café style fish and chips place with a few tables to eat in but seemed to be servicing mostly take-out trade. We ate in and had tuna/chips and crumbed scallops/chips and a side salad with two colas at AUD 48.00. Reasonable fast service, good food, recommended for a quick no frills evening meal.

“Fab Sashimi !”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

We stopped at Oyster Bay Seafood Café twice for take-away fish & chips to take back to our rented beach house on Ninety Mile Beach. The flathead fish although a little lightly battered was tasty & fresh. The fish & chips were served in a delightful cornet of brown paper which was very attractive & easily held.

I was also excited to find that they sold a plate of sashimi which was delicious. . yum !

We also enjoyed buying fresh prawns to take home to have on some fresh bread rolls for lunch.

I would recommend this café especially if you are a sashimi lover like myself & my hubby absolutely loves flathead so we were both pleasantly pleased & thoroughly enjoyed our take-away.

Oyster Bay Seafood is an excellent choice for takeaways if wanting a meal whilst traveling or one can also dine inside for a casual meal.

“Fresh seafood selection is non-existent”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

7 prawns will cost you $17. We thought that a town by the sea will have an abundance of fresh seafood. My husband felt like prawns but after seeing the price, he changed his mind. I don't know how it ended up being number 1 in Swansea. If it's number 1, I'd like to see what the rest is like.

“Best oysters and chowder”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Swansea was our first stop in Tasmania. This little cafe had the best oysters and as everyone else said seafood chowder. I couldnt find any others around Tassie to match them. You must stop by there and if your staying nearby then ask about their closing times cause we ended up only being served takeaway early one night. Enjoy!
