We stayed overnight in Meredith Mews, and loved it. The rooms were clean and big, and the manager was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and delicious, especially the croissants. I have absolutely no complaints.

We stayed for two nights in the Mews with my 18 month year old daughter. The little one loved Dougal the dog! The accommodation was well presented, clean and comfortable. The highlight was the breakfast next to the fire, everything being home made - even the croissants. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and i stayed a night at Meredith House in a queen room and our daughter and French Exchange student were in a twin room both upstairs in the main house. We were warmly welcomed by Noel and 2 Scottish Terriors. Noel recommended a place for us to dine that evening which was perfect.
Breakfast the next morning was the best breakfast with so many choices. I have told everyone I know how good it was. Freshly baked croissants, muffins and brioche were in baskets on the table. There were numerous juices, fruit and cereal choices followed by a hot breakfast and very good coffee. There is nothing I could fault about this stay.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main house are very comfortable and tastefully decorated

We stayed for 1 night before heading to the Freycinet Peninsular. Our accommodation was in the "mews" section, and was comfortable, clean and warm. We were given a warm welcome by the hosts and their 2 scottish terriers, along with a couple of freshly baked muffins to have for afternoon tea. The property is within walking distance of Swansea & set on a hill overlooking the town and ocean. The breakfast was fantastic, with freshly made fruit juices, smoothies, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, toast, and the best mushrooms we have had since we were kids! There were also fresh croissants and muffins that Neil urged us to take with us for morning tea! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience true Tassie hospitality.

We were greeted by Neal, Lulu and Dougal when we arrived quite late that day (sorry about that ). The studio we stayed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was amazing :)) The breakfast is the best.. I love the banana smoothie the most.. The house is beautiful and very inviting.. Definitely will stop by Swansea again during the next visit..

We had a lovely stay here in the mews adjacent to the beautifully restored main historical building, which was built in the mid-1800s. Noel and Neil are great hosts and Noel, formerly with Singapore Airlines, is quite the raconteur, offering up funny and interesting stories to accompany the great home made breakfasts (especially loved the grilled tomatoes!). The room was clean and a good size, with a small balcony at back opening up to the garden. It also had a hidden kitchenette and a spacious jacuzzi. But if you are looking to stay more than two nights or have kids it may be a bit too cozy. It's just a few minutes walk to the beach and some good restaurants. The lovely Freycinet Park and Wineglass Bay with its beach walk are not far away.

This was our honeymoon trip with my wife, and we stayed for 2 nights at the bay view queen room. Noel and Neil were courteous and helpful, they greeted us, showed us our room and helped us made a booking for dinner. The building was so original that we thought we went back to 1850. Though antique, it was excellently maintained, our room was spacious and spotless, and got free wifi! Also the shower bath was impressively strong.

Breakfast was sumptuous and savory. Noel and Neil worked as partners, one cooking and one serving. They had choices of any combination out of eggs, sausages, bacon, mushroom, hash browns etc. moreover they had a bar of fresh juices, cereal, and mixed fruits which made the choices even richer. There is nothing better than to start a day with a rich breakfast.

We did have a peep inside other rooms and they all come with different colour schemes, including bed sheets and even towels, an evidence of attention to details.

Given such great service, it's very reasonably charged. We would definitely come back if we visit Swansea again!

Out of our 14 nights in Tasmania, Meredith definitely scores the highest, keep it going!!!
