We tried Dragonfly after the recommendation of friends at home. The house is just up a sloping track overlooking the Bay, with great views of the water looking over to the headland.

It is a new house with plenty of room with beautifully appointed bedrooms (all with ensuite), nice furniture, a fantastic Miele kitchen (if you want to cook something), and a great open fireplace to sip your Tasmanian Pinots around. There's even a bottle of local wine in the fridge to open when you arrive! The house has all the features you'd want in your own home, and the huge sofa was a favourite spot for everyone!

There are several good restaurants in the area, fantastic wineries, and the views, as you drive along the coast, are superb. There are also nice coastal walks and beaches, where we watched surfers riding the waves.

We had never been to Tasmania before, but were impressed by what Dragonfly had to offer and, each day, were always happy to return to the Lodge to enjoy the comforts of home and the views over the Bay.

We can't wait until our next trip to Tassie to wind our way back to Dragonfly, and we highly recommend it to all.

We were lucky enough to be one of the first guests at Dragonfly Lodge in May 2011, and "wow" what a treat.
We arrived in the dark and as we turned the corner were met by a beautifully lit, inviting house on the hill. We drove up, got out of our car, walked through a courtyard, opened the antique Chinese front doors and instantly relaxed, so peaceful. The lovely fire, huge sofa (on which many an afternoon nap was had), and the local bottle of wine waiting for us made us feel right at home!!
After a great nights sleep on the comfortable beds (and the softest sheets I have ever slept on) we walked into the living area and were met by a breathtaking view over Great Oyster Bay. Each bedroom has its own ensuite, big fluffy white towels and under floor heating.
We loved our stay at Dragonfly lodge and Tasmania.
The Lodge is in a great location, with beautiful beaches and many coastal walking tracks nearby.
