Stayed three nights in Strahan, a small and isolated place. Risby Cove was fantastic. Accommodation was fantastic. Rooms were huge and very comfortable and included all you really needed. Bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed. A good sized sitting area with comfortable lounge chairs, gorgeous local pottery and huge bathroom. Chris and Sheila the owners were fabulous, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent with local produce and very popular - you may need to book as it is very good quality. Risby Cove is right on the water overlooking the harbour - a great view. Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: We were upstairs and had a great view.

We were very happy with our accommodation and dining experience at Risby Cove. We always require a non-smoking room and the hotel provided this. On a beautiful warm afternoon it was a pity that we couldn't enjoy the great environment and waterfront setting through open doors and windows, due to the presence of smokers on the deck outside our room. It would be a great improvement if common walkways and stair areas were made non-smoking so that smokers' filth does not intrude on the enjoyment of non-smoking guests.

Comfortable, modern and welcoming. The off-season price is very good. The generous room size is a welcome change from other hotels in Tassie. We ended up in the hotel's restaurant as it was not much different in price from the rather ordinary pub in town. Our meals were good and the atmosphere pleasant. Worth a repeat visit.

We stayed at Risby Cove in early September. We were greeted by the very welcoming front desk and shown to our room. Even though it was right next to the restaurant, we did not hear any noise from it. The under floor heating was great, and the free port and chocolates on welcome was a lovely touch. All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

Stayed at Risby Cove after it was recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. It's a short walk around to the Strahan wharf area, along a very well made walking path. The room was large and very reflective of rustic nature of the area. Heating was good. Bed large and comfy. Great bathroom. Microwave, sink, fridge, plates etc. We were very happy with our stay.
