We ate here in the off season (April) as it was only the place in town open for dinner except for a take out place. The restaurant was busy. I had the risotto, my husband had the pasta. Both servings were hot and very generous - my risotto easily could have fed a family of 4. Also ordered a side of vegetables and they were fresh and well prepared. No complaints - good home style food and food value for the money.

We didn't book which was a mistake on Easter weekend, but the staff managed the waiting list very well.

Although the bistro was heaving with customers the kitchen churned out the meals at a steady pace and kitchen staff were calm. I ordered a steak rare and to my surprise it was cooked perfectly (normally over when places are busy) and our other meals were fantastic.

Staff were very attentive and served us quickly as they could see our young children were restless. Would definitely recommend.

Service and food were excellent. We sat in the separate room at the end which was a bit bright and loud as there was a large group there. They have a bit of a strange system for 'reserving' a table where you can't actually book but give them the time you will arrive. When you get there you get the next available table based on this list you were added to so you can end up waiting a while after your allotted time.
