How about that - still had the signs up, but no one was home!
The pizza restaurant across may as well have been closed as well!

“Few choices! But price was right!”

Happy to eat down market and hold the budget in Strahan! Pleasant staff and warm environment. I would return for sure.

“Just OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2012

Admittedly the cafe was just a few days short of closing for the season, but that doesn't explain why it seemed a bit tired. Looks to me as if it could do with a makeover inside - it is in such a perfect location to attract tourists to this lovely town. The young wait staff were pleasant and did their job but they too seemed in wind-down mode! Agree with other reviewers that too much on the menu is fried.

“where is the famous west-coast seafood?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2012

fish was OK, but same problem we experienced in most of Tasmania - where can you get fish/scallops etc. which are NOT cooked in a deep fryer ?!? - what a shame to plaster everything in a coating of breadcrumbs or batter then drown it in oil !
