We stayed at "Kitty's Place" which was literally across the road from this cafe and know from first hand experience how popular this place is with locals and tourists. The staff were very helpful and there is a small grocery section inside so we visited the cafe several times while we were in Strahan. The meals that we had there were delicious.

The food is great and they have reorganised the layout so there is more room, including outside tables.
You get much better service and cheaper prices then the places in central Strahan.
For example you get a real pot of tea at Mollys for less than Banjos where they dont serve pots of tea and instead give you a cup of hot water for $4 that you have to get and put in a teabag for yourself.
With Mollys the home cooked food is terrific.
The location is great.
A lot of people dont realise its right next to the harbour. You just walk through the caravan park access road, past the police station(about 200 metres) and you are at the waterfront with play areas, toilets, and beautiful walking trail to Strahan (about 1.5k.). When I go to Strahan to the doctors I always prefer Mollys for a cuppa, because sometimes at Strahan central it gets real packed at the tourist season.
Good value bottle shop right next door.
Also laundromat next door, caravan park next door and a fantastic, scenic bush backpackers about 400m away.
Check it out.

Saw Molly's Cafe - 8-10 Innes Street, Strahan on our short holiday & wandered in for a hot meal. We were not disappointed! The food, fish & chips our choice, well cooked, not too greasy, & at a reasonable price. Nice young man to serve us also. Well done MOLLY's !!

Having arrived from Derwent where the cheapest meal was in the 40 AUD range, it was a relief to find a place with reasonable prices. And, not only that, they make/serve an excellent burger and good chips. Get a 4-pack of Aussie beer next door, bring it over to Molly's and enjoy a fine meal.

I'm not sure what the problem is with Wangaileednei 'Molly: No Thanks!" (previous review), apart from the appalling grammar. I found Molly's a great experience. Prices were good, food was good and the service was good. I'm not sure what people smugglers look like, but these guys seemed too busy to be facilitating boat people from south-west Tasmania. It seems more probable that some teenage girl had her boyfriend stolen by the cute, young, blonde girl that served us. She was pretty. When we arrived at Molly's, my wife and I had decided we were too tired to go to a restaurant, and to be honest, Molly's fisherman's basket was as good as a restaurant meal. Rock on Molly! For people smugglers, you serve great food.
