Our three kids were involved in the play - everyone from the 5 year old up was in hysterics. It helped to do it after the Sarah Island tour.

This is such a fun play, full of humor and audience participation. Very informative about a little known part of Australian history. Also supports the community with donation to worthwhile causes.

The Lonely Planet sums this up perfectly. Just quirky and quaint enough to be acceptably palatable. Well worth doing.

Fantastic experience! We learned a lot of local history and laughed our way through the play. Lots of audience participation. People of all ages seemed to enjoy it. Well worth the money unlike many other overpriced attractions in Tasmania.

Let me start this review by stating that I'm not a lover of pantomime. Nevertheless this was quite a jolly performance. The two actors play a number of characters and they have obviously performed this show thousands of times as they recited their lines so fast you could barely understand them (it didn't help that they used a cockney accent.) Naturally, there was audience involvement. Some people were called on stage; others stayed in the audience and had to burp or woof when pointed at.

The actors relayed the story of how eight or so convicts help build a ship, proceed to steal it, then try to sail their way to Mexico (they made it). They also tell a history of Strahan which is good if you are going on the Gordon River Cruise the next day as you will see many of the places they detail in the performance (the actors are also guides on the cruise).

Overall, an entertaining show if you like pantomime or audience involvement. The actors are very talented and obviously know their stuff.
