The staff were very professional and food was great. Tour guide Kiah Davey was very entertaining as she took us on a fantastic tour of Sarah Island, very enjoyable. Even though it was around 2 deg but the sun was shining, what a beautiful place on this earth. We just loved the cruise which was not over crowded because it was winter :)

Strahan was so busy with tourists when we visited that the day cruises were full, so they decided to run an evening cruise - what a great thing for us! The evening weather was pleasant (it had been hot during the day) and the cruise up the river was very relaxing; but the highlight was the food (all you can eat FRESH smoked salmon) and the Sarah Island guided tour (you have the option of taking yourself around the island, but do yourself a favour and go the guided tour option, you'll learn a lot more and our guide Janelle was a scream!). Heading back into the harbour watching a beautiful sunset capped off a lovely evening. PS. unless you really want to drink (alcohol that is), there's no need to go the expensive tickets; the cheaper tickets still allow you access to all decks, just not the inside seats on the top deck; and you still get all the smoked salmon you want!

We had a fantastic experience on the Lady Jane Franklin II. Perfect weather, informative guides, amazing food (who doesn't love all you can eat smoked salmon?). The Heritage Wharf stop and Sarah Island guided tours were highlights.

We chose the cheapest option, sitting in the centre of the boat and personally felt this was a wise choice, not feeling much benefit to be gain by paying extra for a window seat.

We were lucky to get a private cruise with just 10 others one evening as part of a competition package. The cruise included fine dining on some of Tasmania's best local produce.

The cruise was great as the sun set and the harbour/river turned inky black. The sun's reflection played tricks with you mind as it bounced of the water. The captain was knowledgeable and set a steady pace as darkness fell. The boat is very comfortable and warm.

The food was amazing and the chefs and staff on board made our stay very pleasurable. The alcohol flowed and it helped us get to know our fellow diners.

One thing that was a little disappointing was that as it got darker we could see less and less but that's what you get for cruising in the evening. I would certainty go back to try a day cruise.
