The Anchorage is exceptional! We have got two house combined together to make us a five bedrooms house. It has got comfortable beds and a good kitchen. Lots of vcds to choose from and another tv room to keep our kids busy while the adults can enjoy a good chat in the living room. Back door access to a beautiful waterfront near the wharf. Little blue penguins will come near to our house at night! And we can hear them too! Beautiful Stanley! Love the place - clean and tidy, spectacular views on the Nut and beautiful beaches.

We stayed 2 nights in 'The Retreat' and it was fantastic. There is a grassed area out the back which looks right out onto the ocean and we ate our dinner out there both nights! Great location and we were able walk to most things - including the nut! The retreat was great with there being a separate lounge, kitchen/dining area.

Stayed here for 1 night in July, we were happy with the price paid which included a continental breakfast. The motel is right on the water , the views are magic and our top floor room had a spa. After traveling all day, we loved the extras that had been provided such as brewed coffee ,biscuits, books and videos. The owners are very friendly and were very helpful.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in late April, just after Easter. We have had several overseas holidays but this "oversea" holiday to Stanley in Tasmania was just perfect. This accommodation is right on the water, we stayed in an upstairs room and sat in the bay window looking at the water which is a couple of metres away. A very comfortable place to stay the owners have thought of everything you may want during your stay. A very comfortable bed, especially for me an arthritis sufferer. The owners were lovely people and the food in the restaurant was one of the best dinners we have ever had, great value - highly recommend the beef cheeks. This is a perfect place for relaxing, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Upstairs room with a bay window.

The room was warm & modern with views of the water. The breakfast was good but a bit pricy & not complementary.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room had water views, well stocked mini bar, dvds for loan, nice toiletries, car parking at room door. Very close to attractions. Breakfast (complimentary continental) served in old rail station. It was recommended that we book restaurant for dinner but we have been told this many times before and been the only couple in the restaurant, we arrived at 730pm and were rudely told off saying I told you to book we don't have any more food! Anyhow this was to our benefit as we had the most amazing meal at Landers - The Experience on the main street. Amazing food and service with a smile!
I think you could do better in Stanley for $150 we saw prices for spa rooms cheaper.

Enjoyed 2 nights first floor room. Water views. Rooms quiet and private.

Owners friendly and helpful.

Dining at their restaurant is a must. Great food and service. Recommend you book early as it is popular.

Highly recommended.

Would recommend staying here rather than larger towns nearby such as Wynyard or Burnie.
