“A secluded and blissful haven close to all of Stanley's attractions”

We stayed in the wonderful Oystercatcher Cabin in early Autumn and revelled in the peace and privacy of this special place. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and the beautiful cabin with its circular window and waterfront deck was one of the nicest places we have ever visited. The drive to Stanley with all its attractions was easy and quick. We discovered a very short track to East Inlet on the other side of the road from Beachside Retreat, and strolled along its glorious beach. The absolute highlight of our stay was an early morning walk along the beach in front of our cabin. We cannot stress enough the remarkable beauty and tranquillity of this place, with fish jumping and fresh oysters to be prised off the rocks for breakfast.

During the last 15 years Tasmania has become our preferred holiday destination and second home. Stanley is one of our favourite venues and our stay at Beachside Retreat was a great bonus. The cabin was well appointed, comfortable, peaceful and secluded with an exceptional view. To our hosts, thankyou for an enjoyable stay, we hope to repeat the experience in the not too distant future.

Our hosts Janette & Chris were delightful & the most perfect hosts. We stayed in the Eco cabin with an outdoor spa. I think we stayed ?4 nights.... From the moment we arrived we fell in love with our perfect accommodation. These cabins are very private and verrrrry ... romantic. They are superbly designed to take in the beautiful views of the inlet. Our private beach was virtually on our doorstep. The cabins are so beautifully architectually designed....they lack nothing to the imagination...simply divine!!.. superb quality inclusions....This holiday destination was definitely one of the most beautiful, relaxing places we stayed in whilst in Tasmania. It felt like you were transported to another world, with no cares or worries. One of my favorite things was watching a pair of sea eagles, obviously calling this beach their home, they were so beautiful & relaxing to watch. It was a privildege to be allowed into a small part of their world. Stanley is such a beautiful Picture perfect place. Wish we could have stayed forever. My husband said that if we had the time we would rent one of these cabins and stay for year.....just dreaming.....!!!
We highly...highly recommend a stay at this holiday destination. If we go back to Tassie, I'm sure we will...then we will definitely be back & this time stay longer. Don't hesitate to take a look, you won't be disappointed.

We love contemporary design, and inside and outside these cottages are fabulous. They are bright with lots of windows, and the solid myrtle floors, unique cabinets, and furniture make the interior very comfortable and a great place to relax. There is plenty of privacy on this working cattle farm. We had the beach to ourselves and could walk for miles and not see anyone else. We harvested our own oysters in the bay, and immediately shucked and ate them - talk about fresh! If you want a beautiful quiet place to relax and have fun go to Beachside Retreat West Inlet, and you will not be disappointed. My wife says, "I would like to live here".

Our stay at the Beachside Retreat Stanley was midway through our sixteen day Tasmanian holiday. From Day One, we had been totally engaged in the enjoying all we could do in Tasmania's south and along the east coast. Beachside Retreat was the perfect setting for two nights R&R, but again in the beauty and friendliness that we found in Stanley. We, parents and teenagers alike, enjoyed the hospitality, the aesthetics and the comfort including the well-equipped kitchen of Beachside, and left renewed for the next busy week of exploring central and western Tasmania.

This is the ideal spot for a luxuroius, relaxed stay away from the hsutle of the city. The hosts are generous and friendly giving the right ammount of information but allowing privacy. The architect designed lodges are roomy, luxurious and extremely comfortable. Their elegant design which blends in with the surroundings maximisises the sense of tranquility and relaxation. A really fantastic place to stay!

The 6 days we spent here after Christmas was just heaven.
To walk along the beach at dusk with only ourselves for company was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. The beach house was perfect especially sitting on the deck enjoying a glass of wine and admiring the view, plus the 'porthole' window seat was just right to sit and observe the wildlife at night.
It is a very special place and after a year of personal tragedy it helped in restoring and healing our souls , and ready to face another year.
