“Amazing salad sandwich!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

As a vegetarian, it can be hard sometimes to find tasty, affordable meal options when travelling. Well, that was until I found the Swingin' Anchor Cafe! For $5 I had the most tasty and filling sandwich with not only salad but also egg and just the right amount of their amazing mayonaise. The bread was so fresh I am guessing they either make it themselves or are best friends with a local baker. I can only imagine, their meat options would be equally satisfying for all the carnivores who are lucky enough to stop by this cafe. I look forward to trying out their vegetarian foccacia when next up that way.

“Tidiest cafe in Australia's tidiest town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

Conjoined to the lolly shop and ice creamerie this is a reasonably priced cafe - eatery with a BYO menu which includes scallop pie, crayfish pie and their own beef in the burger& steak sandwich. The tiger prawn wrap with fresh salad and of course fresh tiger prawn was superb at $11. The green pea with ham soup was real warmer for $9. Delightful woodwork is available too! Good service from the friendly staff was appreciated.

“Best French Toast Ever”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

Gorgeous little place, just like the rest of Stanley. Great service, homemade jams and local honey with amazing fresh bread. My friend said the French toast was the best she'd ever had. One of the many must visits in Stanley.
