We took the chailift but you can take the track to the top. The walk around the top of The Nut took us through various types of vegetation and the views are amazing with plenty of viewing platforms along the way.

The nut is a truly amazing place. You can climb to the top or take the chair lift. The climb is amazing, wear good walking shoes. The views are a delight.

The Nut is a must see. I took the soft option and went up on the chairlift and walked down. It is really a pleasant walk around the top and look out for the pademelons

Steep climb of approx. 150 metres, beautiful walk on the Nut with wonderful views over the sea. There is a possibility to go by cable railway.

I climbed the Nut on a clear morning shortly after dawn. It was spectacularly beautiful and something that I will never forget. The climb from the car park to the summit was short (450 metres) but very steep, The path is sealed and the hand rails were welcome. It needs reasonable fitness but also provides a sense of achievement. The only other people on the nut at the time was a couple some distance in front of me. There is a fairly easy 2 km walk around the nut with panoramic views from a number of well placed lookouts. A number of small wallabies were encountered on the walk together with significant bird life. The peace and tranquility was wonderful. The chairlift which carries a fee provides a good option for those who are unable or do not feel like the climb.
