“Great views”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

For those with a bit of energy, the walk up 'The Nut' is great, even our youngest 3 year old managed the climb. Great views from the top on a clear day.

“A Nice Family Experience”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

A great view from the top well worth the walk up around the top and down. Wife took the chairlift and youngest children. Good value well cheaper than Launceston "Cateract Gorge" Friendly people running chairlift.

“Puff your way up the hill”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

The task may look insummountable, but take the track up if you can. One step at a time... look at the scenery on your way up & feel how 'easy' the stroll around the reserve is after you have zig zagged your way up the side. As I don't like chair lifts at all this was my prefered option on the way up & down & well worth the couple of hours it took us to do the whole reserve walk. Well worth it & you practically seem to roll back down to indulge in something yummy in the village 'guilt free' after all that excersice!!!!!

“My favorite place in Tasmania !!”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

Stanley is the most beautiful place to visit. The village is spotless, it reminds you of an English seaside village, cafes are wonderful & have the best Famous Tassie curried scallop pies I have tasted. The view from The Nut were absolutely AMAZING , I could have stayed gazing at the views for hours. Chairlift was great as the walk around is a couple of km's once you reach the top. My only regret is I didn't stay the night as there are many beautiful & varied types of accommodation.

“Walk it don't ride it”

We walked The Nut on a good day which would help some wind, the sun out and not many people about.
