Tidal Waters was a really relaxing place to stay. It was quiet and laid-back. My room was super-comfy, and had a great view out over the water. The food was superb, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's also close to lots of great sights, bush walks and beaches. I thoroughly recommend it!!!

Room Tip: The water view rooms are fabulous.

This was a really cool resort with more than everything I needed. The staff were calm, cheerful, efficient and responsive. I was meeting friends and relations so needed a place that could accommodate a larger number (they have 60 rooms). I was there for three nights and didnt even make it to the pool. The food was superb, the sleep was completely restful and the surrounding area had fantastic walks and amazing beaches.

we stayed at Tidal Waters Resort for one night, and glad it was only one night.! The room we were given was number 15, if you are ever given this room ask to be changed. There was a group of cyclists in the rooms above us and room number 15 is under the stairs and the noise of them coming up and down was annoying. I cannot understand how we were put in this room when the resort was obviously quiet and we could have been put further away from this group. The bathroom was large but the shower was smaller than one onboard a ship! As we were there in February it was quiet warm but we couldn't leave the sliding door open at night because there was no lock on it and no air-conditioning (which i understand as it is Tasmania).
It looks a lovely place and the rooms were clean but our room was not good.

Room Tip: do not choose room number 15

We had a street-side room, and given that it was a little warm that day, the only ventilation was to open the patio door. That would not have been a problem, except that the way the drapes were hung, the only option was to open the drapes completely. Common sense would indicate that they need to be hung differently so that the patio door could be opened without having to open the drapes all the way.
As well, the bedspreads felt dirty--ugh!!

We booked two nights in December 2012 as it was only place we could find two double beds for 2 adults and 2 children. It was considerably overpriced but there aren't that many options in St Helens'. The rooms are large and well equipped. I agree with other comments about the bathroom exhaust fan and we couldn't work the air conditioning. The building creaks when you walk up and down the hall. You also can't use the laundry after 8pm which is difficult with small children who wear alot of clothes! We had a view of the lake but the landscape between the deck and the lake is overgrown with weeds. We also had cobwebs on the wires of the balcony. This places just needs a good clean and gardening. The pool was nice!

A very disappointing stay. The room was large and overlooked the water which is a must but there were so many annoying things - no plug anywhere near for the kettle, airconditioning in the bathroom linked to the lights, not separate, making for disturbances in the night, very hard bed, blinking lights from the smoke detector which irritate in the middle of a sleepless night (I thought it might just have been in our room but the bathroom has the same blinking lights). Service in the restaurant was appalling with only about 5-6 tables filled and three staff and yet they still manage to avoid your eye and act as if you are not there as they only seem capable of doing one thing at a time, and the food looked like it had some out of a birds eye frozen package.

Room was clean and well furnished. There was no working area to prepare a snack, no toaster the general impression was that you were only expected to make tea or coffee. The flat screen TV was smaller than the average desktop computer is equiped with. Staff were very friendly and dinning area and lounge were great. Just overpriced for room facilities.
