Attentive, friendly and very helpful waitresses. The food was excellent,we decided on the 3 course menu and found the portions to be very satisfying from the creamy French onion soup entree, to the main, I had the Lamb, cooked to perfection and the delectable vanilla panne cotta, all tastefully presented. What a wonderful meal for our last night in TASSIE, it really topped off our visit to your delightful Isle. We would recommend Blue Shed to anyone who wants to feel spoilt for the evening.

We ate here for lunch and dinner during our stay in nearby 4 Mile Creek.
I'd read some great reviews and had pretty high expectations.
Expectations were exceeded. The meals were delicous and staff really pleasant and efficient.
The pork belly entree (dinner menu) was sensational! Really well portioned so we could get in 3 courses. The ocean trout (main, dinner) was even better. Dessert was delicous (chocolate canneloni, yum!)
We went back the following day for lunch and enjoyed some more beautifully fresh seafood.
The view was lovely at lunch. Glass windows floor to ceiling provide a great view of the marina.
If you get a chance, make sure you stop here for a meal.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Blue Shed - the entrees (pork belly and calamari) were particularly good. The mains were tasty and creative, but weren't as good as the entrees! The service was impeccable, and we really appreciated the owner's honest advice. The setting is incredible, overlooking the harbour. The only real negative was the lack of effective heating!

Overall a very impressive menu that celebrates the amazing food Tasmania has to offer. A nice surprise for country Tasmania!

What a surprise! My wife and I had booked into the motel opposite blue shed and were not expecting anything special for dinner. After deciding against dinner in the motel bistro, we thought we'd try blue shed. And I'm very glad we did. Food was excellent - the calamari, fish and steak were all impeccably cooked and with interesting and delicious sauces to accompany them. For dessert we had the panna cotta with a quite sublime botrytris jelly made locally. Service was also very attentive and they made a real effort. Overall we were very impressed. One of the better meals we had in Tassie and that certainly says something.
