“best food in Tasmania”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013 via mobile

my husband and I used trip advisor to find this place for dinner. we are Fri Melbourne and have visited a lot of Melbourne restaurants and we found this place amazing. the view was to die for, right on the ocean, over looking the peninsular. then we had a three course meal for $50! it was amazing. loving fresh seafood. the best oysters we had ever tried!!! cheese tart to die for. great beer and wine lists, that feature local drinks, which is hard to find we have found, in tassie restaurants, unless it's cascade. do yourself a favour and deliberately go out of your way to eat here!

“Great Restaurant Great View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

What a great little restaurant. Had a great table with a great view. We had a limited menu because of a large booking but would have probably chosen what we had anyway. Food was great and well priced. Service was extremely good and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant highly. Also bought oysters to take-away, have only had oysters better than these once before and those were freshly opened. If in St. Helens go here!

“Waterfront location is perfect at sunset.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Had dinner here with a few friends recently. The meals were great albeit fairly expensive. There seemed to be too many interruptions to our dining experience though and the balance between providing great service and 'loitering' near tables needs to be assessed better by all staff regardless of whether it is a quiet night or not. We would be more than happy to call on staff if we need something rather than have them continually approaching us when we are enjoying a long dinner. That being said the food and location alone make this place worth a visit.

“Best oysters ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

Arrived late in St. Helens on a Tuesday night and immediately booked this restaurant as it looked so inviting. They had a set menu for $50 per person which was excellent value for the quality of the meal. The oysters were the best I've had in a long, long time. I also had the trout which was so tasty and perfectly cooked and presented. My hubby had squid and the blue eye cod and he raved about his meal as well. Dessert was also delicious. If you go to St. Helens this is the place to eat!!
