“An outing to remember”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

On Easter Monday our group of Let's Be Friends visited Shene by bus on our way home to Launceston from Hobart. This was a day for us all to remember, The hard work and commitment by the owners David and Anne are to be commended and our lunch high tea was an absolute gem . Apart from the fact that we had to leave Rupert (the dog) with his/her owners (as most would have gladly taken him/her home) we were impressed by the work being done to restore this property . We will definately visit again in 2 years to see the product coming to fruitition thank you for a lovely visit.

A group of about 30 ladies experienced a scrumptous morning tea, jam, scones, fruit cake, trifle, little cakes, good tea and coffee, and owners who are truly committed to Shene.
It was the location for the movie "The last Fagin", we were all court up in the romance and history
of this iconic Tasmanian estate. Make sure you phone and book.

“A Glimpse into Tasmania's Past”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Shene Farm which was made so enjoyable by the custodians and hosts, Anne and David Kernke who are so passionate about the authentic restoration of this historical farm; a project they are taking on when most people their age would be thinking about slowing down a bit. Well worth a visit. This is part of Tasmania's history.
