“Back Working”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

Went to Callington Mill many years ago and it was interesting then but to see the flour mill operating, how fantastic. There is a gorgeous, landscaped garden that is lovely to walk around and can be viewed from the mill for all its design glory. Kids loved the nearby playground.

“Beautifully restored”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2012

The mill tour is not to be missed - we take bread and flour for granted these days - the tour gives an insight into the work involved in milling in days past. The mill has been restored by a millwright brought out from England. The miller makes flour but not in significant commercial quantity. Be prepared to climb the stairs!

“Authentic Living History at Oatlands”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2012

A visit to the historic Oatlands village is an outstanding experience in itself, bu the highlight is the visit to the restored Callington Flour Mill, operated by wind power. The guided tour of the operating flour mill facility is highly recommended because of its educational value.

A small gift shop and cafe is also on site.

And the freshly baked bread made from locally milled flour is a real treat!
