I travelled solo and was reluctant to stay in a B and B alone. Lisa (and Poppy) were perfect hosts and made me feel like one of the family. The fire and pot of tea was a warm welcome on my arrival. The breakfast is delicious and filling. The room (Sage and Sparrow) was warm and comfortable and the chocolate truffles were a delicious treat. Lisa also provided a sumptuous grazing plate of local and house made produce. I can highly recommend Stanton B and B, you'll be glad you stayed. What a delight!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Stanton for a couple of nights recently and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The house is wonderful - blending history with all the modern comforts. We stayed in the Cherry and Finch room and despite the snow on the mountains we were very cosy. Lisa is a wonderful cook and dinner in front of the open fire was a particular highlight. We
would highly recommend Stanton to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay and look forward to returning soon.

For anyone looking for history and hospitality, it would be hard to go past Stanton. From the moment we arrived at this historic property we were met by Poppy the spoodle and were shown to the front door where we were greeted by Lisa, who made us feel very welcome, it was like visiting long lost friends. Our two nights at Stanton in our lovely room and well appointed bathroom was far more than we could have expected, including the wonderful home cooked meals and delightful breakfasts which made our stay very memorable. We would have no hesitation in recommending Stanton for those wanting to be away from the hum drum of city life and enjoy some of Tasmania's picturesque country side.

Room Tip: Cherry and Finch room recommended

From the moment you walk through the door Lisa attends to your every whim. She had home cooked soup, rolls and then duck egg ice-cream waiting for our dinner after a long day of driving. The fire was roaring, a great selection of drinks were available and there were personal touches everywhere.
The house is stunning, port and complimentary home cooked cakes and biscuits were set out to be enjoyed. The room was beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. Again there were little touches everywhere including truffles and a bathroom stocked with every necessity.
It was a wonderful stay, made even better by the personally prepared breakfast menu.
Do your self a favour and add Stanton to your Tassie itinerary. You won't be disappointed, in fact you will insist all your friends visit to experience it as well.

Our one night at Stanton B & B was a delight. Arriving and being served tea and coffee in the drawing room in front of the open fire with other guests! Our room was full of comfort and charm, the lovely touches of quality chocolates in our room to the beautiful soap and shampoo in our bathroom.
We opted to eat in, highly recommended, breakfast was simply wonderful.
Lisa's hospitality was warm and generous, nothing is to much trouble. Stay here, enjoy Stanton's charm.....you will not be disappointed.
