“Mysteriously interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

Visited New Norfolk for the first time and didn't know anything about the old Asylum - so I found I couldn't find out enough about this intriguing place. Visited the large Antiques Shop there [however don't know what it was, and would like to know]. A great antiques shop - such good quality items.
Also visited the Nurses' Quarters, still being restored - and the young Scottish lad from the Brick-a-brack shop was enthusiastic about what they were trying to do in restoring his section. I hope the restoration continues.
I also had coffee in the old Nurses' Chapel - what a delightful little place [however I had to ask what it was, as there's no signage] - beautifully restored.
There was work being done to demolish a large building, I believe to be the old childrens' quarters, plus many other buildings that look ominous...
From an outsider, I think it would be so interesting to have some sort of map, or info sheet of the whole site, advising what the buildings were.

“Lazy lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Willow court cafe was a delightful place to enjoy a lazy lunch in New Norfolk. We sat outside in the gardens & enjoyed the homemade apricot chicken, morrocan soup with a glass of Tassie wine. Service, food & location were terrific - highly reccomend!

“Lovely lunch & shop!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

We had lunch at the little cafe in the middle on the grounds, its a very small building, near the antique shop. It was lovely, the food was great, coffee was very nice & quite reasonably priced.

We had a look around at the antique shop, its HUGE! So much stuff! We spent a good hour or so in the shop. Some fantastic stuff, but not a lot of jewellery. Definitely worth a look!

Looks like they're actually opening more shops. Looking good and was told that there are more shops to come.

Very run down, vandalism evident, interesting but uninviting.
