The cottage is well maintained, looking a little tired though. For the price that they’re charging we would’ve expected a little bit more in the way of, comfortable couches, better presentation etc.
It has everything you need in the way of ammenities, kitchen supplies, laundry etc. beautiful location, right near the river. The cottage doesn’t have wifi, also something that is usually included, especially for the price we paid.
Leesa went above and beyond to accomodate our needs, no fault in customer service.
Though, if we had our time again, we would’ve driven the extra hour or so to Hobart and got something with better value for money.

This set of four cottages sits metres from the Mt Field park entrance on the banks of the raging Tyenna river so it's not only a beautiful location but has great white noise to sleep by, esp from Cabin 1. The cabins are renovated but a little tired, although it doesnt detract from their comfort at all. When you've been hiking for hours in temps under 5 degrees, coming back to a blistering hot shower and excellent air con heating is gold! We had Cabin 2 with a supposedly more luxurious bed. It was good but nothing special. The kitchen is well stocked and everything works well. The bonus of this place is that the caretaker's house blocks road noise and each cottage is separated enough to not let you hear each other so it is pin drop quiet to sleep (note: there were no children here when we were here which might make a difference). Finally, Leesa provided great customer service when booking and on site. This is a great option over camping if the weather is iffy, just a little pricey for what it is, but there isn't much else on offer in the general area anyway.

Room tip: Cabin 1 would have the best river view and noise. Cabin 4 is beside an aquaculture plant.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our booking here, but I still wanted to write a review on the customer service I received, which was very good. When I made my initial contact many months ago I felt welcomed right from the start. Subsequent phone calls were always the same - sometimes I got the answering machine, but it was usually within a couple of hours that I received a call back. We did go to Russell Falls and saw how close they were, so would have been very convenient.

This is very basic and uninspiring accommodation. The place had a stale smell and our request for a air freshener was ignored. Eventually with every window and door opened it improved. Maybe guests have had a dog in the room? Taps leak in the shower mentioned in another review still isn't fixed. Actually the whole Russell Falls experience is something you can miss out on without regret

Room tip: It's about all there is is apart from the pub and that dosnt look very flash either
