“UPCLOSE WITH A DEVIL”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

While staying at the Cradle Mountain Resort in North West Tasmania it was a very short drive to the Tarrana Tasmanian Devil Park. With 2 young boys and family friends we found this a wonderful experience as well as an education as to the lifestyle of Tasmanian devils. We would highly recommend the staff's knowledge and commitment to the 'Devils' - very good value for all!

“Caring and educational wildlife park!”
Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

My family loved our whole experience at this park. The guide clearly loved and cares for his animals. He educated the public about the wonderful Tasmanian Devils ,without using negative theatrics we found at our visit to Tasmania Zoo the next day. We left Tasmania Zoo feeling so sad for the lack of care for their animals and depressing environment. In contrast, the Trowunna Wildlife Park was so inspiring and deserves to be supported. It's the best place to get a true education about the Tasmanian Devil! the entrance cost was reasonable ( unlike the overpriced and neglected Tasmania Zoo which I feel should get inspected by the RSPCA). all the money goes to a good cause and the animals are well cared for and look happy. I strongly recommend this wonderful conservation park to all animal lovers and visitors. It doesn't get advertised as much, but it's the real genuine experience! We were so glad we had taken our family there first!

“Great park”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

We planned our day trip from Cradle Mountain around the tour time at Trowunna. It's a 90 minute drive, and we arrived in time for the 11am show, there are 3 per day. Our guide, Paul, was great, engaging and informative. The kids loved seeing the animals (quolls, devils) up close and being able to hold a wombat was really special.

“Our Visitors loved it which is why I constantly go back!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

This is one of my favourite parks here in the north for me to take visitors to experience Tasmania wild life parks. We went yesterday 20/4/13 and were welcomed by a lovely receptionist/cashier who was warm and friendly as well as being informative. Our guide was great! he went to great lengths to explain the life of the animals , we watched the devils being fed which was amazing. The animals really are in their natural habitat as much as they can be and it was fascinating to see how in tune with their keepers the animals really are.
A great day out, wonderful for photography and I thoroughly recommend this park to all.
Great value for money which is obviously going to a wonderful cause.
Thank you guys.

“Without a doubt, the best place to see a Tasmanian Devil.”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

We were so thrilled with this little park. Although it was off the beaten track, and the rain rarely let up, the whole family had the best time at this park.

For $50 for the four of us, this was the best price we had seen on our travels around Tasmania. Some parks asking $80 each (not with any private tour!).

After being provided with umbrellas, we were taken on a tour by Jono who's knowledge was second to none! He answered any questions we had and spent a good hour or more on the tour around the park. We learnt so much, not just about the devils, but also about wombats and other animals.

The kids were able to pat a devil, hold an orphaned wombat called Puffin and then watch 8 'retired' devils eat their meal for the day. An absolute eye opener for the kids but the best experience. Where else can you do this?

Fantastic, friendly staff, great tour, informative and affordable! Don't waste your time at the bigger parks, you'll see everything you need to here.
