We loved these caves and the beautiful ferny surrounds on the way in to the caves. The tour guide was witty, intelligent, knowledgeable and above all, passionate about the caves and the Tasmanian Devil. The glow worms and underground creeks were added bonuses. Our kids listened quietly throughout our tour, which shows how interesting the guide was!

Great for young children as tour lasts for around 45 minutes and the caves are easily accessed. Guide was informative and entertaining. Cold in the caves so take a jacket. The glow worms were the highlight for the children.

We did the guided tour of King Solomon Cave, located about 15 minutes from Mole Creek village. The tour guide/ranger was very thorough in explanations, gave appropriate warnings, was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to. He thoroughly explained the differences between Marakoopa Cave and King Solomon. The entry to King Solomon is virtually on ground level and as soon as you enter it is like being in a jewel box, the chamber is small and full of unusual designs in the formations. As the formations dry out they form a crystal covering hence the name of the cave. For one of us it was the 13th cave visited in four continents around the world!
The ranger told us a French speleologist visited unannounced and at the end of the tour declared it was the "best dry cave he had ever visited" and we believe he was accurate.

Arrived late afternoon to Mole Creek, so unfortunately only had time for one of the caves. King Solomon was the closest tour-time so we chose that one. Beautiful! Great guide with a lot of information. Tour was approx. 1 hour and definitely worth visiting while in the area. Shame we didn't have time for Marakoopa cave, would recommend people to do both.
