The walk up along the creek was a great prelude to the incredible caves we were to visit. Our guide made us feel welcomed as he shared what was an amazing history of these natural caves.
He gave everyone plenty of time to ask questions, was very helpful in pointing out strange and unusual formations. Glad we made the detour to visit.

This is well worth a visit, the stalactites, stalagmites, crystals & glow worms are gorgeous, the only complaint I have was the tour guide rushed us through, constantly telling our group of 27 to hurry up & we could take photos on the way back but again he didn't allow us the time, it clearly states in the brochure to take the time to listen to the underground stream, but again that wasn't allowed, all our group was told was to hurry up, he did explain what was what in the cave but at his pace! Would have loved to have a bit longer to admire this beautiful cave. We will definitely go back but I'll make sure I don't have that guide.

We really enjoyed these caves. The glow worms were a new experience for us and the guide showed them to us us twice, with different levels of lighting so that we got the full effect as our eyes needed time to get accustomed to the darkness. We could really tell that the guide both practised and enjoyed caving, so that the things she was telling us were first hand experience. The formations were well worth a visit, but there are many caves in the world with similar formations so it depends on what you have seen previously. The guide had a well-rehearsed procedure of activating different lighting at different times, so that we could fully appreciate the different features one by one. Remember proper shoes and a jacket if it's warm outside! PS if you are a singer you may well get a chance to demonstrate your skills in the "cathedral" so be warned :-)

I loved this. We had a great guide and he was able to explain the formation of the cave system at Mole Creek and told us about the animals that inhabit the cave system. it is easy to follow the path and the lighting of the formations is just right without being overdone with lurid unnatural colours.

Stayed at Mole Creek and visited King Solomon Cave one afternoon. Did two tours at Marakoopa the following day. An amazing experience. Absolutely breathtaking. Lighting was natural, guides were brilliant and informative welcoming questions and allowing enough time to experience the silence and stillness. Glow worms were very interesting and were a highlight. Even though it won't change much in my lifetime we will go back. Too much to take in on one visit. Amazing!!
