“Fair, but not great”

Okay for a cup of coffee while you're waiting for the Bruny Island Ferry. The service is slow and the food is only fair. Better to wait till you get to Bruny Island.

“Nice to see things dont just stay the same - they improve”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

Arrived for a meal after 5 years away - it was a nice day, sunny and warm. Sat outside - attentive staff, and delicious meal - (chef's salad) the dog was welocme on the veranda too so all the better. We have enjoyed eating here since 2002 and it was nice to return. I recommend offering meals for canine's too - pasta and cheese or chicken as they do at a cafe in the ACT. For $5.00 you would get a sale and a happy daog and owners :) And what was really nicce is there were no children around to annoy us while we ate.

“Nice spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

This is a little cafe that has undergone some transformation over the years and is now a really lovely spot to have a yummy breakfast, coffee and cake or lunch. I think they are open now on Friday nights but we have only ever been there in the morning.
They have added a verandah out the front facing the water and the ferry in the sun and it is magic just sitting and watching the cars roll on and off the ferry while you have a lovely pecan pie slice and coffee.
Also has a few souveniers and tourist information.
A nice little surprise for a treat.

“Basic”

Junk food and average food you could buy in a roadhouse. Their pies looked a bit sad and unappetising

“Not bad at all.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

Ended up stopping off here whilst waiting for the ferry across to Bruny Island. It did exactly what it was there for, a stopping spot to wait for your ferry. We had some nice coffee's and homemade cakes and its location at the harbour is really nice. The service was solid and it did the job. The food menu looked quite nice but we didn't eat anything from it so i can't comment but i certainly wouldn't put anyone off going here.

Not bad at all.
