Large glass frontage gives great views over the cove and small ships. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was reheated, which lost some appeal. I was surprised to hear that many towns in Tasmania don't have town water. Including this one. The under floor heating is a little slow to heat the room. Air conditioning would have been much faster on a chilly day. Why do so many places have small TV screens when large ones are so cheap now?

We greatly appreciate all your feedback as this helps us improve our service and offering. We are so glad you enjoyed the view and your breakfast and hope the rest of your stay in Tasmania was enjoyable. We can assure you however that none of our meals are reheated. Some are slow cooked and started earlier in the day (lamb and pork belly) but all are freshly cooked. Thanks again for your feedback.

We could not fault this place at all. Clean, modern, spacious, warm, beautiful location, beautiful food, excellent service, we didn't want to leave. Bronwyn is in her element. Her cheerful nature makes you feel so welcome and her cooking was definitely a highlight. We hope to return with friends and explore some more of the lively area.

A very nice, modern and clean bed and breakfast. Not your usual B and B. You feel like you have the privacy of a hotel which sometimes you don't when staying in a typical B and B. Great service with freshly cooked breakfast and dinner by the host. The coffee is especially worth a mention. The accommodation is close to the local pub which also has a great restaurant. On the doorstep of the ferry that goes to Bruny island. An excellent choice for a short or long stay. The rooms have under-floor heating, walk in shower and comfy beds. The hot water in the shower is instant- no waiting for it to come through while you shiver. The host is lovely, very helpful and informative about what's going in the area and what is interesting to see around Kettering and the surrounds. Great view of the Cove.

During our recent trip to Tasmania, we were looking for accommodation in Hobart for two nights.
After being turned away by any over priced and 'busy' establishments, we took the map out - pointed at Kettering - rang Ross the owner, and 30 minutes later, we had found this idyllic spot!
Ross & Bronwyn were the perfect hosts and made us feel immediately at home and valued. The room was beautifully appointed with lots of very special touches e.g. home made chocolates waiting for us.
The view of sunrise in the morning from our room was even more special. The breakfast is amazing, and Ross makes a pretty 'mean' coffee as well! This was true Tasmanian hospitality. It was one of the best B & Bs we stayed in throughout our 8 day trip, and we hope to go back there one day! We didn't want to leave. It is the perfect spot to explore Hobart and the surrounds of Kettering/Peppermint Bay etc. Bronwyn's last tip was to visit the Nutpatch Nougat and Cholate shop just down the road - which was also one of the highlights of the trip! Thanks Brownwyn and Ross!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful - with gorgeous views over Bruny Island - and heated floors to keep you...

We were made to feel very welcome by Bronwyn, Ross and especially Lucy. Quality accommodation with modern appointments. Try Bronwyn's roast lamb with their freshly grown veges, you won't be disappointed. They even helped organise our Bruny Island cruise bookings!

We travelled in June and while icy outside temperatures could have dampened our stay, the Cove Kettering was cosy and welcoming. The underfloor heating throughout the rooms coupled with the lovely open fire, heated towel rails and cosy bed made our stay relaxing and comfortable.
Ross and Bronwyn added further warmth to our stay.
I would highly recommend staying at the lovely Cove Kettering

with a lovely smile. We stayed there last week for 2 nights and wish it had been more. A beautiful dinner with wine in front of an open fire on the sunday evening and a trip the following day to Bruny Island which had been kindly organised for us. Both Bronwyn and Ross made us feel welcome - almost like family. Looking forward to a return trip!
