A delightful short walk terminating in a lovely view of the falls cascading off the plateau. The bird-song in the Banksia forest along the way is wonderful.

20 - 30 minute (return) walk from the car park to a viewing platform of the falls and the descent to the valley floor below. The walk takes you across low alpine plant area and some larger trees - plaques describe the plants and source of water.
Interesting but not "a must". We didn't drive on to do the walk to the lake, so unable to compare the Arve Falls walk with the longer lake walk.
Access is 12 km of gravel road from the sealed Geeveston - Tahune Forest Airwalk road.

Very good walk and fantastic views, not just the falls. Plenty of water still and highly recommended indeed.

for the nature lovers it is a place to be. a walking trail through the bush. To reach there, you need to drive a quite far from any nearby town. then leave the paved road and enter the unpaved way. It was a sunny summer day. Yet ours was the only car in that road on either way. We had a small car which was not meant for such a rough terrain. Also we (a couple) was a bit concerned about the security. If we got a flat tire, I didn't know what to do. There won't be any network available on your mobile phone. Keeping these things in mind, if you have a robust car, if you are in a group and if you are a nature lover then this is the place to be. you are just left by yourself in the woods. You can hear the silence loud.

The walk to Arve Falls is short and undemanding, through pleasant alpine vegetation to a pretty little waterfall with long views toward the Huon, but if you have ventured as far as the waterfall walk, continue on and explore some of the other lovely walks in the Hartz National Park. There is plenty of variety from a stroll to a glacial tarn to the walk to Hartz Peak, and it is all quite lovely. The only thing that must be remembered is to choose your day wisely and even then to keep a careful eye on the weather - this is a high area and is very exposed if the weather turns nasty. It's fine on a cold day (with suitable clothing) but not when it's windy.
